Survival Tool

This is a customized 18” Tramotina designed and perfected for heavy duty work!

This is what has been done to make it the ultimate survival tool:

1. The wooden handle is reshaped and rounded so it fits the hand better and prevents hot spots and blisters during long work sessions. The handle is then soaked in boiled linseed oil for protection and durability.
2. The spine of the blade is ground to a clean 90 degree edge so it can be used for scraping tasks like striking a ferro rod or processing tinder.
3. The factory clear coat is removed and a forced patina is applied using mustard. This helps protect the blade from rust while giving it a rugged field finish.
4. A portion of the blade closest to the handle is wrapped with paracord. This improves control during close work and also provides emergency cordage if needed.
5. The factory edge is reprofiled into a durable convex grind. This edge geometry is much stronger than the thin factory grind and holds up far better when chopping hardwood, clearing brush, or doing heavy bushcraft tasks.
6. The tip is slightly blunted because sharp factory tips often get damaged when chopping near the ground or clearing roots and brush.
7. Each one comes with a handmade fire hose sheath.
